Company History

IS Nordic was founded in December 2000 as a hosting and operations provider for large IT consulting firms — Accenture, IBM, and KMD among our earliest customers. From day one, our work has been defined by one thing: taking operational responsibility for mission-critical IT systems that our customers cannot afford to get wrong.

For the first decade we built deep expertise in the platforms that powered enterprise IT — Oracle Database, Oracle WebLogic, Solaris, Linux, Windows — operating complex n-tier environments on bare metal and hypervisors long before "cloud" was a meaningful word. That foundation of operational discipline is still at the core of everything we do.

As the industry shifted, so did we. We embraced the rise of cloud-native and container-based technology, invested in it, and made it central to our offering. Today IS Nordic holds 2 Kubernetes Certified Architects, 1 Golden Kubestronaut, and membership in the Cloud Native Computing Foundation. We deploy and operate Kubernetes clusters on-premises, in public cloud, and in hybrid configurations — and we design the GitOps workflows and DevSecOps pipelines that keep them auditable and secure.

The next chapter is AI. Our engineers are actively upskilling in artificial intelligence and large language model technology, and we are integrating AI and LLM capabilities directly into our service offerings — from intelligent monitoring and automation to AI-assisted operations and infrastructure tooling. We believe the companies that will serve their customers best are those that treat AI as a craft to be mastered, not a feature to be bolted on.
